Amber Montana as Gabby Harlow in the Movie Vanished |
Last night I had the pleasure to, for the very first time, watch the special Screening of "Vanished: Left Behind the Next Generation" by Echolight Studios. The Movie is based off of Tim LaHaye's Left Behind Series and is Produced by his Grandson Randy LaHaye. Of course it stars a very talented Actress Amber Montana. I don't know how many people realize how difficult it is to cross over from a comedy series such as The Haunted Hathaways on Nickelodeon, to being a serious actor in doing a dramatic movie such as this one. The movie is based on The Rapture. Where life in Chicago, is just as every other day with no warning, people vanish. Followed by mass chaos and sudden panic, leaves people wondering what is going on. Life changes in an instant. It is not an easy to portray such panic and emotion without making it look quirky or over dramatic. Amber Montana delivers an amazing emotional and heartfelt performance. She portrays a teenager with the weight of the world on her shoulders and to make matters worse, she now has two guys who she has fallen for and they her. She plays mom to younger sister (Keely Wilson) Who also is an amazing little actress from Florida. Dylan Sprayberry and Mason Dye also deliver amazing performances. The chemistry of these four kids is what sells this movie. They all deliver incredible portrayals of their characters. But, what impressed me the most is how Amber Montana was so believable in her emotions and strength in this movie. She hit a home run, scored the game winning touchdown, hit the final shot at the buzzer, and scored the winning goal in overtime to win the Stanley Cup Finals all wrapped up in one. This should be an award winning performance for this young bright star. Her performance was brilliant, a star has been born. I suggest this movie for everyone to see, as this is not your typical Christian Movie. It shows you how your life can change in an instant and makes you ask that question, "Why and I still here?"
